Honduras Los Colibríes

Regional Coffee

In 2014 Ronnie Gabrie bought his farm and named it after the hummingbird (Colibrí in Spanish) which in the Mayan legends is a messenger of God and stands for good wishes, recovery, and health. He cultivated the Parainema variety, a natural process and participated with this variety in the Cup of Excellence. To make this process work only the red cherries are being harvested and through floating only the good beans can be selected. 50% of coffee on the farm is being cultivated in shadow which generates a microclimate and supports the coffee process, and the plant is always nourished and has strength for production.
