Farm Coffee

The Gahizi family who also owns Gitesi washing station owns Gahizi farm, which has about 8,000 coffee trees. While the trees started producing, Gahizi family built a wet mill of their own to process their own coffee. The station has high capacity and they are able to process coffees of neighboring farmers too, but they keep coffee from their own farm separated. Gahizi family started partnering with RTC for the first time in 2011, where by they received operating capital to assist in production costs and expansion. When Gahizi coffees reach the dry mill, they are able to separate big beans from the round PB beans.
