Finca Andalucía is located in Ataco, Ahuachapán. It was established as a coffee plantation since the 1940’s. Its excellent altitude, its abundant water springs, its dark volcanic soil influence its particular cup and grain characteristics. Finca Andalucía is owned and operated by Lima y Hermanos, a family ran and operated business. Most of the property is planted with coffee varieties like Bourbon, and Pacamara, among others. The coffee is grown under just the right amount of shade trees. The many other varieties of shade trees planted in the farm, makes of Andalucía a heavily and diversely tree planted and very eco-friendly property. Andalucía has been certified as an organic-rainforest plantation. It has been, for many years, treated and maintained as an organic plantation, rid of any chemical substances or fertilizers. The farm conserves a natural rain forest, which is hundreds of years old and which serves as habitat for innumerable animal species.
