Kangocho is a Kikuyu word meaning “a place with corners” because of the major corners and beds of the ways from the lower to the higher point of the hill that the residence used and named it the hill of corners. Tourist attraction is in Karatina Town due to the largest open air Market in East and Central Africa, curio shops and Hotels to cater for visitors.The peaks of the famous Mt. Kenya are clearly visible, at this point when the weather is clear.
