Lambari, situated in the southern part of Minas Gerais, Brazil, is a notable coffee-producing region renowned for its unique microclimate and fertile soils.
Placed right behind the Mantiqueira hills and in an intersection with Campos das Vertentes – atransition between the Atlantic forest and the Cerrado biome – the region offers the opportunity to discover very unique cup profiles.
Lambari also belongs to what is known as Circuito das Águas (Water Circuit), because of its many rivers that come down from the water springs in the Mantiqueira hills. The coffee production there relies on smallholders.
Lambari’s coffee industry is predominantly composed of smallholder farmers who employ traditional and sustainable farming methods passed down through generations. These farmers focus on quality over quantity, often participating in cooperative systems to improve market access and economic resilience.
