Brazil – Sítio dos Cedros

The Brioschi family, of Italian origin, is now in its fifth generation of coffee cultivation. Their main farm, Sítio dos Cedros, is located in Venda Nova do Imigrante, in the Montanhas do Espírito Santo at an altitude of 950–1100 metres. Together with their second farm, Sítio Volta Peçanha, they cultivate high-quality Arabica varieties such as Catucaí 785, Catuaí Açu, Arara and Catuaí Vermelho.

The beans ripen slowly from May to December and are harvested manually. The family relies on agroforestry to protect the environment and improve the quality of the coffee. Processing takes place on covered African dry beds, using methods such as natural, pulped natural, fully washed and fermented.

The coffees are characterised by high sweetness, creamy texture, lively acidity and complex aromas – including caramel, sugar cane, floral notes, yellow and red fruits, honey and nuts. Their work has received several awards, including the Prêmio Destaque Brasil 2017.
