Amapola is a Trademark owned by Ceca S.A. for some of the Coffees that are processed at their Company-owned mill in “Palmichal de Acosta, Costa Rica”. The farms used for the Amapola Brand come from more than 800 producers who grow per year an equivalent of 7 bags on average.

The Palmichal Mill was established in the ’60s and has consistently been remodeled to achieve the highest standards of quality and efficiency while keeping perfect harmony with nature and the neighboring town.

The drum dryers at the mill have a control system software that manages the temperatures and airflows. This technology allows the drying process to be systematic and repeatable. Drying temperatures are low, and this extends the drying times to 38 hours.
