Indonesia Java Blawan Estate

Farm Coffee

Surrounded by volcanoes and lush forests, the Blawan coffee estates are perfect growing areas for fine, high altitude Arabica coffee. In total, there are around 3.000 hectares of land that are used for the cultivation of coffee. The Estate is government owned, and their history dates as far back as the Dutch colonial periods, when these two, along with four others, were set up to grow and cultivate coffees. Local families have thus worked on the land for generations, and their care of the plantations is exceptional. Knowledge has been carefully passed down, leading to very well tended, mulched soils and pruned coffee trees.
