Dominican Republic – Ramirez

Ramirez Special is a blend of carefully selected coffees from the high-altitude regions of Jarabacoa and its surrounding areas in the Dominican Republic. The coffee is sourced from farms that follow a shade-grown production system, helping to preserve local biodiversity and protect important water resources. This commitment to sustainable cultivation, combined with high-altitude growing conditions, careful cherry selection, and traditional processing methods, results in a consistent, high-quality coffee that reflects the character of the country’s mountain-grown coffees.

Behind this coffee stands a long family tradition. In 1943, Mister Belarminio Ramirez founded a small company dedicated to coffee production and marketing. Over the decades, the business has grown into a family enterprise spanning three generations. In addition to cultivating coffee on their own plantations, the Ramirez family processes and markets a significant share of the region’s coffee production. Today, their coffees are enjoyed around the world, with exports reaching markets including Germany, Italy, Taiwan, South Korea, the United States, Canada, and many other countries.
